Diving and Museo Atlántico underwater museum 
The waters around Lanzarote offer a clear view and a large and colorful variety of marine life. Through a diving school one can visit the unique Museo Alántico and make an underwater ride along the sculptures.
There are several good diving schools in Playa Blanca where courses and tours are offered for all levels. You can also rent the materials.

 

Surfing
Lanzarote regularly hosts top international surfing competitions on the Famara beach on the west coast. Playa Blanca now has its own surf school that takes people to Famara.

 

Kitesurfing

This is a spectacular sport and to see and practice on the west and north coast beaches of Lanzarote.

 

Swimming
There is a large heated pool and children's pool with sun beds and parasols.
Within walking distance there are two sandy beaches with safe bathing. 5 km from the property are the quiet beaches of Papagayo. These can also be reached by boat from the harbor. In Costa Teguise is a water park with lots of slides and pools. There is also a water park now near Timanfaya Palace hotel.

 

Water sports
Deep sea fishing, sailing (independently or with skipper) and boat trips are available at the nearby Marina Rubicon and the ferry terminal which is opposite Casas del Sol. Windsurfing, jet skiing, water skiing and parasailing are all available in a specially reserved area of ​​Playa Dorada beach, within walking distance of a few minutes.

 

Tennis
There are two tennis courts at Casas Del Sol and rental equipment is available. There are also many tennis schools nearby where you can take lessons.

 

Hiking and trekking
The lava landscape and rugged terrain make it a fascinating area for walking. There are many hiking trails. You can also join one of the organized tours to explore the island. A trip to La Graciosa, a small island off the northern tip of Lanzarote, is worth doing. A nice walk goes along the coves and beaches of Papagayo near Playa Blanca. There is a 7 km promenade along the coast near the holiday home.

 

Cycling
Cycling is a popular activity in Lanzarote. The rugged terrain and pleasant climate make it a perfect environment for mountain biking. Roads are relatively quiet and drivers are considerate. Professional cyclists train here in the winter months and for  recreational bike rides there are plenty of options.

 

Golf

Lanzarote has two 18 hole courses, which are open all year. They are  in Puerto del Carmen (20 minutes drive) and Costa Teguise (30 mins drive) and have clubs, trolleys and electric buggies available for hire. You will also find mini golf centers in all the resorts on the island, including three in Playa Blanca.

 

Horseback riding
There are riding lessons and tours offered around the island for beginners and advanced riders.
